Years Served: 1946-1948…SOM 3/CLASS PLANKOWNER IN 1946 AND MANY YEARS LATER DECOMMISSIONING IN NEW ORLEANS, LA WHEN STILL ON ACTIVE DUTY AS A CAPTAIN, MEDICAL CORPS, US NAVY

Served from 1980-oct 83, trying to find anyone at that time.

Served on the Lawe (DD763 ) from ‘71-‘73 . Was a BT and worked in the Forward Fireroom! Made BT2 just before getting out.

i was on the Lawe from mayport Fl in 1972 though 1973 served in the
i was a boiler tech in the forward fire room I worked with BT1 Giles and BT2 McDanials
on the west pac cruise to Vietnam.

WHAT’S GOING ON ED CHARLAND ? THAT DRYDOCK WAS IN JACKSONVILLE NEXT O THE MAXWELL HOUSE FACTORY . THE TYPOON WE RAN INTO AS WE STEAMED FAST OUT LORENCO MOSAMBIQUE TO GET ON STATION FOR THE POSSIBLE APPOLLO 13 RECVERY . YOU USING THE HEADLIGHTS OF THE CAR TO SIGNAL THE SHIP TO SEND THE BOAT BACK TO GET US IN VICTORIA SYSHELLES . AH YES AND THE APARTMENT ON JAX BEACH .
