Came on board in 1966 as YN3 left in 1967 while in the Med. went to Portsmouth RI.
Years Served: 1963-1966
Came aboard Lind as a Seaman Apprentice, assigned to 1st. Division learned all Deck duties, plus watch standing, of Helm, Lee Helm, After Steering, and lookout duties. Transferred to 3rd division as a Torpedoman. Stood Sonar watches. After a short time period became a TM3 and leading Torpedoman. Continued my Naval career and advanced to TMC and then to Commission as a Warrant Officer. Retired in March, 1985. Served with Cdr. Mellick, Lt. Bush, LTJG Samek, TMsn Doran, TM3 Barleman, TMsn Bays. And others in the Sonar gang whom I’ve forgotten their names
