I looked up the Lind because I was aboard her sister ship DD-704 Borie. A coincidence with the hull numbers was my last three numbers of my service number is 704 and a buddy who joined the same time I did has the last three as 703. I know we were in port in Norfolk at the same time. We made a med cruise in 1963 and were extended longer because vice president Lyndon Johnson was making a goodwill tour of the North Atlantic so we docked in Copenhaven Denmark, Portsmouth England and Turku Finland. Was the Lind there as well?

Served on the Wallace L. Lind DD703 from 1969 to 1971. A ship belongs at sea and a sailor belongs on his ship
