Years Served: 1959-1961…Was in OE division as an ET. Was ETR-2 when I left the ship. Have since taught 34 years as a math teacher in Oswego, NY (on the southeast shore of Lake Ontario). Have retired in Carrollton, GA. But, we are looking to relocate around the NC coast, and am presently looking around Southport, NC. If all the stars line up, we may be there soon. We really miss the water.

Years Served: Aug 1967 until Nov 1969…Served as a signalman when it was LPH4. She was decommissioned on Dec 1, 1969.All crew members recieved a wooden plaque with the ships emblem when they were transferred off. It was dedided by the captain at the time that this was better than a ships party where everyone would get bombed and never remember it. The plaque would be something to keep and always remember the ship. I still have mine. Hi everyone and everyone who signs after me.
