Years Served: unknown…I saw the USS Raby reunion in Harrisburg Patriot-News today (8 Aug 2008). Is a crew list available? Our father, George William (Mac or Bill) McKnight served mostly on Minesweepers, but our mother used to refer to the Raby as one of his duty stations.
Just looking for USS Raby memories.

My Dad served on the Uss Raby 1943-1945. Joseph James Johnston. He passed in 1978. i would would interested in log book or captains log or if your dad remembers him.

Gail, I would like to talk to you about your collection. My Dad would love to see it. He was a gunner’s mate on the Raby during WWII.
My father, Frederick Slagle (in good health at 91) served on the Raby from 1943 to 1945. He’s asked me to see if I can find a logbook. Suggestions? I’d love to find one for him.
