Was assigned to DE369 during the Cuban Missile Crises. It was scary waiting on the bridge for Kennedy who said “The next order will be to blow the Russians out of the water” Scary stuff !!!!. Lucky for all of us the reds turned around and went home.

I was on the last cruse 369 went on before it was scrapped… we spend some time dead in the water before being towed into Jacksonville Fla
