Years Served: 1967 -1968…Reported on board August 1967 as RDC. Completed yard overhaul and made cruise to Gitmo for underway training. Returned to Norfolk, VA our home port. Another cruise to San Juan, PR and to Roosevelt Roads missle testing grounds. Was transferred in August 1968 to Fleet Sonar School, Key West FL. Retired from in Key West July 1971 and returned to the West Coast to reside in the state of Washington. Now reside in Yuma, AZ. Always glad to hear from anyone on board during my years there.
Reported while ship was in drydocks in Virginia as a Radarman 3rd class, November 1969. Was separated from active duty in July 1970 getting off the ship in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
