Years Served: ENS/LTJG Supply Officer, April 1950-Dec. 1951…I came aboard in the MI shipyard, we left there in July just after the Korean War started. 4 months of training and build-up of crew, and we left for Korea Nov. 13, 1950, returning Aug. 8, 1951. We have attended the 4 ship reunions to date starting in 2000. Not sure about the 5th this fall in Seattle area. Ship’s web site has much information if you haven’t looked there. Many updates on our crewmates from those days. Left service in 1955, worked 31 years at Kodak and retired to FL in 1986. Don
