RIVERS, George

Years Served: 1966-1967…Started out on the deck force, spent time in weapons division as a yeoman, and ended up in the ships office as a SN. Traded duty with another seaman at Miramar Naval Air Station around October of 1967. Completed my tour in October of 1968 got out as a YN3 from VFP-63. It was a memorable ride to say the least.

Years Served: 1967 – 1969…I was a PN3 onboard Taussig during the time frame above. Would like to hear from anyone serving onboard during that time. I became a Shell Back in 1968 onboard Taussig. What an initiation that was.

RICHARD L. BUTLER

Years Served: 1950-1954…I hope there are some of my shipmates still out there and would like to get in contact with them if possible. I want to attend the reunion this year and hope there will be others there that I know.

John Housos

Years Served: 1943-1946…I have been an actor in NYC since the war, now living in Connecticut. My wife, actress Carolyn Coates, died in 2005. Next year I will be with our daughter, Jessica Noble Cowan, in Broad Channel, NY. She is a detective in the office of the Brooklyn DA. I would love to hear from any shipmates of the time. I was the anti-submarine officer, a plank-owner.
