Years Served: 1967/1968…really enjoyed my tour on this ship. i think every time my time on this ship is discussrd,the telling of the storm of 68 always comes up.

Years Served: 1952/1953…I served on two destroyers during my four years in the navy.. the USS HankDD702 was my second duty

Years Served: 1952-1953…I served on 2 DD’s and the 712 was the best. Great crew and really great officers. Remember Coronation of Queen Elizabeth and following a Russian Battleship thru the Kiel Canal.

Served in the first Division on the Gyatt 1959 thru 1962 and left as a BM3. She was a wonderful ship with a great crew. Hope she is resting well on the floor of the Atlantic where she served out country so well.

Loved that ship. Best crew and times…even though half the ship was painted pink. Anyone remember? How about when Murphy locked up Ens. Jones in machine shop and of course, THE storm.

Served on board the USS Gyatt DD-712 as a Machinist Mate from 1963-1966. Had some great times.

Served 59 -62 meet great friends and good times

Served aboard as a CS3&CS2. 61/63. Many fond memories from a couple of Med Cruises and great shipmates. Made the Navy a career and retired in 1981 as a CW0-4 Supply Corps Officer. Surprised myself and probably anyone that knew me at that time that see this post. Work hard and play hard was the name of the game.
