Years Served: 1958 – 1961…I was a snipe and Oil King the last 18 mos on board.
Years Served: 1959-1962…USS WADLEIGH DD689 Our Motto (WE WILL) and (WE DID).One of the best times of my life.
Years Served: 1959 – 1062…2007 Reunion in Dubuque, Iowa in Septembar.
Years Served: 1957, 1958, 1959…My three years on the Wadleigh were very eventful and rewarding. This was my first ship right out of the Navy class A school for Electronic Technicians. Now, I could put all they taught me to practical use and start to really learn about electronics. Extra bonus was being on the best damn destroyer in the fleet with the best seamen anywhere. Also, the Officers were great and easy to work for. I have always considered my time in the Navy as GOD sent and I matured as a man.

My father, John Logue died in January, 1987. He often talked about the USS Wadleigh when I was little girl, born in 1945.
