Years Served: 1963 1965…would like to hear from old ship mates from deck div. wpkhfl

Years Served: 1963-1965…lots of good friends in first and second deck div.

Years Served: 1964-1966…I was FN and then advance to Engineman 3rd class. When I got out of the Navy I joined the Seabees and retired with 26 years of service. I retired as a Chief Equipment Operator.

Years Served: 1955-1957…Served 30 years, retiring in 1981 as GMCS. Now reside in MO.

Years Served: 5/66-11/68…I served 2 1/2 years on Uhlmann. Made two Westpacs. made EM3 while onboard. Great ship and crew. Great memories. I finished my enlistment in country assigned to Navy Security Police, Danang,Vn.

Years Served: 1964-1966…Was first lieutenant in Uhlmann for 2 viet Nam deployments. Then Destroyer School and another tour as Weps in Cony (DD508).

Years Served: 1963- 1955…Served aboard Uhlmann from 1963-1966 as and FT. Vietnam service 

Years Served: 1944-1946…I am proud to say that I am a plank owner of the Uhlmann…and still kicking.

Years Served: 1965 to 1967…Joined Uhlman during overhaul in 1965. Undertook 2 Westpac Cruises, then swapped to USS Newell (DER 322) for third Westpac Cruise before enlistment expired. Discharged in 1968, finished university with a Bs.Sci (forestry) degree and have been living in Tasmania since 1971.

I served on the USS UHLMAN 1954 to 1956, Quarter Master, then when they split I chose to be Signalman 3rd Class.

Hello. My husband, Douglass, served aboard the USS Uhlmann in 1962 and 1963 as a Seaman. My husband recalls being near Vietnam during his tours, but the Veterans Administration says the ship was no where near Vietnam during 1962 to 1964. Can anyone provide any information that could help us? My husband has had a stroke, heart conditions, and diabetes and we need help. Thank you.

My late brother Eddie ( Ed ) served on the Uhlmann in 1962 to ‘65 ? He was an Ensign. If anyone remembers Ed please reach out

did two tours of duty on the uhlmann ,from 66-68. l was a GMG3 while serving my three yrs. got out in 1968 nov. then went on to do 34 yrs in the police dept. retired and enjoying life. God bless all you fellow sailors.

My grandfather, Earl Graves served as a Master Chief on the USS Uhlmann during WWII. Anyone remember him? Happy Independence Day!

Served on USS Uhlmann from 1955-1959. What a wonderful ride.

I served on the Uhlmann from 1965-1967. Had three west PAC tours to Vietnam. Had some great shipmates. Would love to hear from anyone serving during that time.
