Visited the Kidd before deploying to Desert Shield/Storm-took wife and daughter-quite an experience-beautiful ship.

Years Served: July, 1957 to October 1960…I would like to hear from any of my shipmates. My email address is bill.mashburn@comcast.net. I was an ET on the USS KIDD and lived in the ET shack between the two aft 5-inch mounts.

Years Served: my dad served from commission to kamikaze attack…my dadLouis Godreau,now 86 yrs young ia a gangplank owner for DD 661. he proudly served aboard her in the South Pacific as Gun Trainer on foreward gun #2.when the Kidd was hit by a kamikaze, he stayed in the South Pacific,transferred to USS Black,DD666,until the end of the war.I am very,very proud of him and have tried numerous times to take him to Baton Rouge,but his heart and memories won’t allow him this.God Bless him and his 12 battle stars
