I have a old world war two cruise book with a lot of photos of the uss Abbott and her crew sailing in 1945, with the uss kidd. This was about the time when then kidd was hit with a kamikaze. The two ships were running radar picket off of ullithe atoll. Anyone wanting copies contact me. 225 305 3232

I served 1958 to 1960 black gang. I was hot and dirty.. WE made 39,6 knots at flank speed. It was great experience.
