Arthur David Hunter

Was on the Bache 67 – 68.
Was TDY to the after engine room under Pappy Nunn as an MMFN, waiting for the next class at Nukie Power School in Bainbridge, Maryland. Was running the Evaps in Main Control at my GQ Station during the storm in Feb 1968 off Rhodes, Greece. After leaving there, I never got back to a Tin Can. Spent 18 months in Rota, Spain aboard the USS Canopus AS – 34, and was separated off the FDR CVA – 42 as an MM2. Attended a Bache Reunion several years ago in Branson, MO, but none since.
Currently live in Mesa, AZ, and watch/post on Facebook in the Tin Can Sailors 2 Group.
