Good times. I rember the Russian Sub, colliding with the Russian fleet, dry dock after running aground going into the Suez, getting drunk as a skunk on Gibraltar. Hell of a lot of good times and good crew.

Years Served: 1964-1966…Served as Weapons Officer from spring of 1964 to July 1966. What a great crew. Probably my most memorable tour of my 28 years in the Navy.

Years Served: 3 years 1 month…Served on Waller as Gunners Mate 2nd class from 1965 until 1968.

Years Served: 3…I served 4 years in the Navy, 3 years on the USS Waller DD-466, from 1965 to 1968 as an RM2.

Years Served: feb. 1962 to Feb. 1964…I was ship serviceman 3rd Class and worked in the laundry and also played on the softball team . We were 18-2 but lost in the playoffs.

Years Served: 1962-1964…Served as Chief Engineer and Senior Watch Officer …reported just after the Cuban Missile operations … made two Med cruises, a couple trips to Gitmo for gunfire support ship operations, and the big shore fire gun shoots on Bloodsworth Island in the Chesapeake Bay. I did make it to the last two ship reunions.

Years Served: 1968-1969…I was a Quartermaster during the West-Pac cruise. I worked with Mooney,Whitehouse,Parker I can’t remember the Chief’s name. I eventually left the Navy in 1972 as a BM2. Would like to hear from any of my shipmates during that period.

Years Served: 1961 & 62…I was on the sonar stack when we gained contact with B59. He tried tricking us sitting still, I was ordered to send by CW key: India-Delta-Kelo-Alpha with no response Gunners Mate Lee Boyer was ordered to drop hand grenades (3) over the side. I detected Doppler, he was on the way up, soon radar had him on the surface.
