Years Served: 1967 to 1969…served in the forward engine room……evaporators….throttles…..etc…..and yes i do remember the typhonn off japan………….that was as bad one…..had to go back to yokosuka for repairs…….remember the halfner was damaged worse that we were

Years Served: 1968 to 1969…OBannon, the oldest and fastest during its Nam service. Remember the Typhoon out of Japan when heading towards Pearl? Service off Nam, changing guns? Hotels above the bars? Strange, was looking at the old cruise book last night – maybe a sign of things to come.

My father, David A. Mullen, served onboard between 67-70 (not sure of exact dates) MM3. He loved that ship. His best friend was Donny Young, not sure of his rate. My father is the reason I joined, and I did 24 years in the Navy as a Cryptologist.

I was wondering if there was a cruise book ever produced during that time frame.
