My dad Robert John Grady was aboard the USS WOOLSEY
He joined the tin can sailors after he retired in 1986.
My dad and mom traveled the US to attend all the tin can sailor get together.
I’m so proud of my dad for serving his country. Thank you to all our troops. Men and woman.
You have know idea how much those trips meant to my dad. He loved to see his old Sea buddies.
Sharing war stories. Many laughs,many tears.
As the years past my mom died. My nephew whom is also a Navy man( my dads first grandchild and best friend) would drive/fly with dad to the TIN CAN get togethers.
As time marches on things change… my HERO died March 3, 2016. I love you dad. Thank you for instilling in
us the love of God,Country family.💕
My mother Evelyn Krause married Robert p. skold who served on the USS Woolsey DD 437. He was a wonderful step dad! They have both passed. Just wondering if any info is available ref. His service or anyone might have known him
