I served on the USS Hornet from â68 to â72. I was on board when it picked up Apollo 11 and 12. I also served on the USS Molala.
Served aboard USS Hornet CVS-12, 1969 thru Decommissioning on the ships C-1A (COD) Crew. Was there for the recovery of Apollo 11 & 12.
New e-mail address. As I said before I served aboard USS Hornet CVS-12, from1962 to 64, V-3. I was an ABH-3 at that time. I all so served aboard USS Iwo Jima LPH-2, as Flight Deck LPO, and USS Coral Sea CVA-43, V-3 and V-1, 1973-75. Retired ABHC. Living in Eugene, Oregon with my wife Sandy.
